Who
vanalyze is responsible for the data on this site. Send questions about your data to contact@vanalyze.eu.
Without an account
The calculators run in your browser. What you enter, including your camper on My Camper, is kept in your browser's storage so you can continue later. As long as you do not create an account, it is not sent to us.
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. in the United States. To deliver a page, Vercel processes technical data on every visit, such as your IP address and your browser.
We use Google Analytics to see which pages and tools are used. It is set up to respect your privacy: measurement only, no advertising, no Google signals, data sharing with Google turned off, and Google's data processing terms accepted. Google Analytics sets an analytics cookie for this and processes data about your visit, such as the pages you view, your device and your approximate location. In a tool embedded on another site we measure without cookies. We only use this as totals, to improve the site.
With an account
With an account you save your camper and open it on any device. For this we store your email address, your password (only encrypted, we cannot read it), your camper as you entered it, with a short summary of the verdict, and when you created the account and last logged in.
When you create the account we also store: the language of the site, whether you used a phone, tablet or computer, your answer to how you found vanalyze (you may leave that question empty), and where that visit started: the name of the site you came from, the first page you opened and any campaign codes in the link. Your browser only remembers the latter while the tab is open, and it is only sent if you create an account during that visit.
This is stored in a Supabase database, with servers in the European Union (Frankfurt). The emails for confirming your address and for a new password are sent through Combell's mail server, from contact@vanalyze.eu.
We use this data to make your account work, and in an overview for the administrator of vanalyze: how many accounts there are, where they come from and what is being planned. That overview shows, per account, the email address, the data above and a summary of the camper (van, number of devices, verdict, on how many days you worked on it and which tools you used) and whether you want email about new features. We do not sell your data. You only get email about new features if you tick that box.
If you tick that we may keep you updated, we store that, with the date. We then occasionally email you about new features of vanalyze. You turn it off on the account page, or reply to an email that you no longer want to receive any. Without that tick you only get emails about your account. The legal basis for this is your consent.
The legal basis for your account and your camper is the agreement you enter into with us by creating an account. For the overview it is our legitimate interest in understanding who uses vanalyze and improving the site.
How long, and how to delete it
We keep your data as long as your account exists. The account page has a button Delete my account and camper: it removes your account and your saved camper from the server right away. The camper in your browser stays; you delete that yourself in your browser.
After logging out, your camper stays in your browser, unless you tick that it should be deleted from the browser too when you log out. You can always delete it yourself on My Camper; if you are logged in at that moment, the camper in your account is removed from the server too.
Newsletter and contact
If you sign up for the newsletter, we store your email address, the language of the site and the date in the same database in the EU (Frankfurt). We only use it to send you the newsletter. You unsubscribe below the sign-up form on the home page, or by replying to a newsletter; we then delete your address. The legal basis is your consent. The contact form opens your own email program; nothing goes through the site.
Your rights
You may ask which data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, receive it in a file, and object to its use in the overview. Email contact@vanalyze.eu for this. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or the authority in your own country.
Changes
If anything changes in what we store or why, we update this statement. The date at the top says when that last happened.
